July 21, 2025 – Optically pumped magnetometer (OPM) MEG is an exciting new way to record neural activity non-invasively. By measuring the brain’s magnetic fields with sensors inside a wearable helmet instead of a large, helium-cooled machine, OPM-MEG is more accessible than traditional MEG.
The B&C crew including Kia, Melinda, ClĂona, and Sydney joined a hands-on workshop hosted by BrainWorks and the Wu Tsai Institute. Oxford’s Ole Jensen led two days of instruction covering the theory and physiology of OPM-MEG, analysis techniques, and source modeling. We were happy to have our friends, old and new, from Princeton join us for this incredible learning opportunity.
